Ti-Ratana Institute of Buddhist Studies uses this workspace to administer learning and provide teaching feedback. Contact education@ti-ratana.org for account help, corrections, access requests or removal requests.
Information we use
Sign-in supplies an account identifier, email and, when available, a display name. Your profile stores your name and date of birth for learning administration, with an optional phone number and preferred communication language. Learning accounts are open to students of all ages.
We store course membership, submissions, quiz attempts, lesson-completion records and discussion posts. Teachers can access their assigned courses; coordinators administer access. Date of birth and phone number are not displayed to classmates or on course rosters.
Sign-in and storage
Google verifies your personal or Ti-Ratana Workspace account. This website does not ask for or store your Google password. The application uses hosted cloud infrastructure to process and store learning records. Data processing is not guaranteed to take place only in Malaysia; contact the education team for information about service providers and account administration.
Sharing and notifications
Learning records are not published to the public app, catalogue or Dhamma library. Course discussions are visible to members of that course. Use fictional examples instead of private personal information in coursework and discussions.
In-app notifications alert you to class activity. Email updates require your opt-in and an enabled institutional mail connection; opting in alone does not mean email delivery is active. Notification emails contain a general activity notice and a link, rather than grades or submitted work.
Community profile and shared accounts
Your Ti-Ratana Account connects the app, catalogue, Dhamma library, Learning, community forum and authorised Hub access. A community profile is optional. If you join, your chosen display name, introduction, posts, comments and follow relationships support member discussions. Your email, date of birth, phone number and grades are not shown in the community directory. Bookmarks are private to your account. Principal administrators review access requests; forum moderators can review reported content.
Community discussion is limited to Dhamma and Ti-Ratana topics. Removing a post hides it from members; administrators may retain records for moderation and account requests. Contact admin@ti-ratana.org for community profile or account removal. Signing out everywhere revokes connected site sessions.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, change notification preferences and export your available personal learning record in the workspace. Password changes take place with the sign-in provider. Contact the education team for account closure or removal; records needed for legitimate educational or administrative purposes may need to be retained under the institution’s applicable policy. A fixed retention period has not yet been adopted for this initial release.
